Instead of evaluating your game by evaluating your swing we are going to evaluate your game by how you execute your swing. It might sound like the same thing on paper but once you understand the difference it will change the way you approach the game.
We are going to quit working on your car and teach you how to drive.
Every athlete executes their best when they are ina neutral physical, mental, and emotional state. We are going to guide you to defining what that meand for you. Then we are going to teach you the strategies to maintain that.
Accept your Identity and Map it on the course. Tournament golf is a game of strategy. At this point every player has skills, the real question is do you really understand what yours are and how to use them given the course conditions. We all think we do but the best of the best are constantly refining this aspect of their game.
Can you turn the right choice into a good result. If you started in neutral and made the right choice thats a good start. But it's a game of interfernece and we are going to help you build a solid routine to help you fight off yours. See it. Feel it. Trust it, is a pretty good start.
Your number one job is to save strokes. The best way to do this is to focus your practice on the shots that have a direct impact on your scorecard. If you master the Fundamental 4: Drive the ball in play, be excellent with your wedges, make your short putts, and know how to turn 3 into 2, then you can play anywhere you want. I guarantee it.
Until they make tournament golf more like hitting balls on the practice ground you better learn the meaning of simulated practice. Seek Neutral, AIM your shots, and use your Transfer skills. If you can't do it on the range don't expect to do it on the course. Just a small change here can make a big difference where it counts...on your scorecard.
The SHIFT is not a one night stand. It's a commitment to changing the way you approach improving your game. I know that when you improve your SHIFT skills your scores will improve, but more importantly now you can look more objectively at your technique. Now that you know how to drive you actually know what you need to do to your car...Thats when you start going really, really fast.
